The Fishes

Imaginative, sensitive, Compassionate and kind or Escapist, idealistic and Secretive. Also Selfless, unworldly, Intuitive and sympathetic sometimes Weak-willed, vague and easily led.

Ruled by Neptune, planet of imagination, fantasy and dreams and governed by the Fishes, which have strong links to Venus and to Christianity, this is a very romantic and idealistic sign.

In Pisces we meet the most emotional of the Water signs and also the most intuitive and spiritual. These are the gentle souls of the cosmos, who share a deep spiritual connection to the universe. Of all the signs this has the most religious of associations, but not so much with outward displays of devoutness, rather a deep sense of divinity that has a genuine respect and understanding of the universe and ancient religious concepts, that of understanding that there is a power higher than yourself. 

Pisces is the most mystically inclined of all the signs and Pisceans are seen as dreamy, gentle, creative and intuitive and slightly hypnotic creatures. 

Pisceans possess a gentle, patient, malleable nature. They have many generous qualities and are friendly, good natured, kind and compassionate, sensitive to the feelings of those around them, and respond with the utmost sympathy and tact to any suffering they encounter. They are deservedly popular with all kinds of people, partly because their easygoing, affectionate, submissive natures offer no threat or challenge to stronger and more exuberant characters. They accept the people around them and the circumstances in which they find themselves rather than trying to adapt them to suit themselves, and they patiently wait for problems to sort themselves out rather than take the initiative in solving them. They are more readily concerned with the problems of others than with their own.

They sometimes exist emotionally rather than rationally, instinctively more than intellectually (depending on how they are aspected). They long to be recognized as greatly creative. They also dislike disciple and confinement. The nine-to-five life is not for them. Any rebellion they make against convention is personal, however, as they often times do not have the energy or motivation to battle against the Establishment.

Pisceans have a deep love of tranquillity, beauty and peace and can be mesmerised by music, poetry or just stand in awe at how beautiful a sunset looks. 

This doesn’t mean that Pisceans walk around in a cloud of love and fantasy all day, they have learnt to adapt to their softer side by becoming very focused. They use their intuition as a lethal and sometimes secret weapon. Ask any of their cosmic mates why they made the choices and decisions they made and they’ll list you all the reasons why, but for a Piscean they often don’t have a reason, other than it ‘felt right’. Rather than scoff at this seemingly dangerous way of operating, a Pisceans intuition is usually right on the money and often has deadly accuracy. 

Do not  underestimate a Piscean or judge that this gentle soul is no real competitor, because they’ll beat you hands down every time.
